Call for Papers
We are delighted to announce the Seventh International Conference on
Applied Ethics on 26-28 October 2012 at Hokkaido University, Sapporo,
Japan.
We invite the submission of papers related to (but not limited to) the
following topics:
meta/normative ethics, bio/medical ethics, engineering ethics, ethics of
science and technology, information ethics, environmental ethics,
business ethics, feminist ethics, international/global ethics.
Since the main theme of this year's conference is 'Risk, Justice and
Liberty', we particularly encourage contributions addressing the theme;
however, we also welcome submissions on topics that address social,
cultural, political, economic areas of applied ethics beyond the
conference theme.

Those participants who wish to present papers are requested to submit a
300–500 word abstract in a MS-Word file (.doc) to CAEP (caep[at]let.hokudai.
ac.jp) by Saturday, June 30, 2012.

Up to ten travel awards of between 20,000 and 40,000 JPY (equivalent to
approx. 230–470 USD) are available for graduate students and non-tenured
scholars. Priority is given to overseas students/non-tenured scholars
who present papers.
